Jonathan Bones: Lead Pastor
Jonathan was married to his lovely wife Karen in 2009. Together they are blessed with two beautiful daughters, Lua and Elena. Jonathan has a B.A. in Theology/Music from San Diego Christian College, an M.A. in Linguistics from San Diego State University, and an M.A. in Christian Ministry from Southern California Seminary. Jonathan served as youth pastor at MBC from 2010-2015, and has served in his current role as lead pastor since 2016. His prayer is that he will be an aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing (2 Corinthians 2:15). He enjoys spending time outdoors, surfing, skateboarding, hiking, traveling, learning languages, playing music, and reading.
Nicole serves as Mapleview's children's ministry director. She and Garrett were married in 2008. She has attended Mapleview since she was a child and now she and her husband are raising their three children, Caleb and Asher and new baby Elsie here. She enjoys spending time at home with her kids, reading, cleaning, DIY projects, road trips and most everything childrens ministries related!
Nicole Plate: Children's Ministry Director
Youth Ministry Director /Office Manager
Blaze is a graduate of San Diego Christian College, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Youth Ministry. Along with his education, Blaze played baseball and served in the Sr. High ministry at Shadow Mountain Community Church for over three years. He is so excited to lead the students of Mapleview Baptist Church as he leans upon the Lord's strength and guidance. His desire is to see the youth develop an authentic relationship with the Lord based on His Word. Blaze has been serving in youth ministry at MBC since 2016.
Luke VanNortwick: Worship Director
Luke and his beautiful wife named Hollie have a gorgeous little girl named Veronica (Ronnie). Luke graduated from San Diego Christian College with a Interdisciplinary Bachelors Degree in Musical Performance and Biblical Studies. He has been involved in Music Ministry for more than 8 years and has lived in San Diego for most of his life. Luke’s desire is to use worship as a vessel to draw people, himself included, into an attitude of worship towards our Lord and Savior. His hope for worship is that the congregation sing songs that mirror biblical truth.
Elizabeth Ocampo: Custodian

Elizabeth is a proud grandmother of ten grandchildren and has been serving the church as custodian since the beginning of 2018. She is originally from Morelos, Mexico and has a gentle spirit and a servant's heart.
